Our much anticipated Adventure Playground opened with great excitement. Very happy children spent hours exploring and playing in the woodland wonderland designed by our very own Estate Manager, Dom Strutt. Following a firm eco-friendly policy, it has been handcrafted from robinia, a splinter-proof hardwood with a greater density than oak. With a special fenced area for the Under 5’s and a larger play area for older children, children of all ages were able to satisfy their lust for adventure. 

Many scaled new heights with the climbing wall, created adventures in the fort with its tunnel, across the ropes and down the fireman’s pole. The laughter filled the air as children piled onto the swing seat. 

One parent commented:“It was such a joy to have a connected but separate dedicated play area for our younger son with its sandpit, climbing area, swings and mini fort – we were able to keep everyone happy for three hours!”

Whilst Dads and Grandads celebrated Father’s Day with a burger and beer at our Grazing Rooms Pop Up, all the families enjoyed a wonderful day out, feeding the deer and exploring the Farm Trail. Some found a picnic spot by the Dew Pond, others walking down to the River Rother where they picnicked next to the yearlings with their magnificent antlers in the paddocks. 

Entry to the Adventure Playground and Farm Trail is through the Visitor Centre. From here you can also access the Farm Trail and picnic areas. With the summer holidays soon upon us, our Farm has something to keep everyone entertained and happy.  We are open every weekend until 16th July and then six days a week from 16th July, Tuesday to Saturday.
